What are referrers?
A referrer helps you track the source of your sales and traffic, whether online or in the tasting room. Use this feature to monitor referrals from partners like wineries, hotels, or even friends working in restaurants.
Set up referrers
- In the top navigation, go to "More".
- Under "Configuration", click "Settings".
- Within the marketing section, click "Referrers".
- Make sure the referral tracking toggle is on.
- Select how often you would like the user to be prompted to add a referrer to the order.
- Select how many referrers you would like to see on your Most Frequent Referrers list.
- Use the green "Referrer types - edit" button to see a list of your referrers. You can add, edit or delete referrers here.
- To add a referrer, click the green plus button. Add in the name and click "save".
- To delete a referrer, click the red x next to the name.
- To edit a referrers name, edit the text box. It will save automatically.
Add a referrer
- In the top navigation, go to "More".
- Under "Marketing", click "Referrers".
- Click the + button next to the Referrers title.
- Add the referrer name and the type (edit referrer type using the instructions above).
- If applicable, choose the user within your company who is in charge of this referrer account.
- Add in their phone number, address, and email.
- If you have specific contacts within this referrer, add them on the right using the + button in the contacts box.
View a referrer
When viewing referrers, you are able to see their details, individual contacts, and CRM notes. From here you are also able to merge two referrers.
Referrer reports
- Go to "More" in the top navigation.
- Under "Reports", click "Reports List".
- Select "Sales Reports".
- Under "Sales by Referrer", choose "by Referrer" or "by Referrer Contact". The "by Source" report is based on the "How heard sources". More information on "how heard" coming soon.
