SKU

Unique code consisting of letters and numbers to identify the item

SKU type

Determines how the item is handled (ex: compliance, different fields, etc)

Alcohol
Alcohol specific fields appear to help filter and determine compliance items
(further determined by alcohol type in the compliance section)

Size/style/color
Used for items that have variants such as tshirts, hats, etc

Other
Any items that do not fall in either of the other categories

Description

Full name of the product

Section

Use sections to easily filter products. This is very beneficial when using the POS or when customers are shopping on your website.

Add sections

  1. Click the settings icon in the top navigation.
  2. Go to "Settings" under "Configuration".
  3. Under the Catalog section, click "Catalog sections".
  4. Click the "+" next to "Section Name".
  5. Name the section and choose if you would like items in that section to show up on the webstore.

Stock tracking

Allows you to configure each item in the catalog according to its inventory type. The stock tracking options include:

None
Will not be tracked against inventory

Inventory
Will be tracked against inventory

"# On hand"
Click on this link to see a breakdown of how many items you have in inventory, unfulfilled orders, etc

Alert @
When inventory drops to the number set here, you will receive a notification telling you inventory is low

Assembly
Choose this option if the item is a pack containing multiple other catalog items
Ex: gift pack, mixed case, etc

Components

  1. Save the current item.
  2. Choose the "components" button to add items that are part of the multi-pack.
  3. Start typing the name or SKU of the item you would like to add.

NOTE: Once an assembly has been used in an order, its components may not be changed to ensure reporting remains accurate.

Service
Items that are not physical

Future
An assembly that will sell now but fulfill later and has an estimated release date. 

Estimated release
The date you expect the item to be available for fulfillment

Virtual
Choose virtual for items like tickets

Weight

Total weight of the item. This will be automatically calculated for assemblies and futures.

# of bottle slots

Select how many bottle slots the individual item will fill. Options range from 1/4 - 12, as well as none or custom. Use the partial bottle slots for smaller items that only take up a portion of a slot (ex: bottle opener)

Minimum shipping speed

Sets the minimum shipping option for any order that includes this item.

Requires separate package

Toggle on if the item cannot be bundled in with other things

Unit of measure

The size of the item (ex: 750ml, 12-pack, each. etc)
